The days are getting longer and the weather gets a little less blustery. As the world starts to green up, it is time to turn our thoughts to pet wellness and to prepare for the summer months ahead. Read on for our favorite springtime veterinary recommendations.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Parasite Protection for Warmer Weather<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As the temperatures increase, so do the amount of creepy crawlies in the world. Pet parasites are no exception.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While our <a href=\"https:\/\/truecareveterinaryhospital.com\/staff\/\">veterinary team<\/a> recommends year-round parasite prevention for our furry patients, a good prevention strategy becomes even more vital as spring and summer approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Talk to us to be sure that your pet is protected against:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Heartworms<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Intestinal parasites like roundworms and hookworms<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fleas<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ticks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Other external parasites like lice and ear mites<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Even indoor pets are at risk of contracting parasites, and as always, a good defense is the best offense. There are plenty of safe and effective options available. One is sure to be a good fit for your pet.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Vaccine Considerations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Hopefully sunnier days mean that pets are often spending more time outdoors or even sitting out on a screened-in porch or at a window screen.
